VERMICELLI BISIBELE BHATH

Ingredients:

200 g Bambino Vermicelli
50 g tamarind
100 g red gram dal
50 g sambar onions
50 g brinjal
50 g carrot
50 g fresh grated coconut
2 nos drumsticks
50 g tomatoes
4 nos green chillies
1 tsp mustard seeds
2 nos red chillies
1 tsp turmeric powder
4 nos cloves
4 nos cardamoms
2 nos patta
1/2 bunch curry leaves
1 bunch coriander leaves
50 ml oil
salt to taste
Method :

Boil water ( for 1 cup Bambini Vermicelli, add 3 cups water). Add Bambino Vermicelli, 1 tsp oil, 1 tsp salt. After vermicelli is cooked, remove from flame, strain and run cold water through it. Keep aside. Boil dal and keep aside. Prepare sambar onions and keep aside. Cut vegetables into thin long pieces. Roast three red chillies, fenugreek, coriander seeds and grated coconut till fenugreek turns brown. Powder this mixture. Similarly, Make a powder of cloves, patta and cardamom. Prepare tamarind paste. In another kadai heat some oil. Add the remaining red chillies, mustard seeds, few green chillies, prepared sambar onions and the cut vegetables. Add the tamarind paste and salt. Heat until the mixture is cooked. To this add Boiled Bambino Vermicelli, powdered masalas, red gram dal and mix well. Serve hot with ghee.
