VERMICELLI PULIHORA

Ingredients:

200 gms Bambino Vermicelli
40 gms Tamarind
50 ml oil
1 bunch curry leaves
6 green chillies
50 gms Groundnuts
1 tsp Jeera
1 tsp Mustard
2 tsp Bangal gram dal
2 tsp Urad dal
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
2 Red chilles
Salt to taste
Pinch of asafoetida
Method :

Boil water (for 1 cup Bambino Vermicelli, add 3 cups water). Add Bambino Vermicelli, 1 tsp oil, 1 tsp salt. After vermicelli is cooked , remove from flame, strain and run cold water through it. Keep aside. Soak tamarind in 150 ml water. Heat oil and add groundnuts, red chillies, Bengal gram dal, mustard, jeera and fry well. add green chillies, curry leaves, turmeric powder, asafoetida and fry well. Add tamarind pulp and salt. After it is well cooked, add cooked vermicelli, mix well and serve.
